The Gender Media Network of Kenya (Gemnet) team comprises of journalists and communication experts attached to various media organisations – print, TV, digital and communications – who have passion for gender and development stories.
As a network, Gemnet brings together these members to advance the organisation’s key area of gender related content.

Mercy Kahenda is a health and science reporter with the Standard Group with a keen interest in gender and human rights related issues.
Joshua is a news editor with The Scholar and writes for Gemnet from Gusii region. He is a videographer/ photographer as well as a published creative writer and biographer.
Pauline is a Communications Specialist with UNEP Regional Office for Africa in Nairobi.
Abwao is a journalist based in Nairobi, covering the Eastern Africa region.
He has over ten years’ experience covering the Gender is my Agenda Campaign, economy, finance and politics.
Dr Stellah Onyiego
Dr Onyiego is a media and communications lecturer at Moi University.
She writes on gender issues relating to communication and media use.
Elly is a Supplements Editor working with Daily Nation and nation.africa in Nairobi.
He also does editing and communication consultancy.
Kingwa runs Blackstar Media. She works on the intersections of culture, finance and politics, engineering these to enable optimum performance for individuals, organisations and societies.
Joyce is the Regional Communication Coordinator for East Africa at the African Development Bank.
She is also the Gemnet secretary.
Ferdinand is the Quality and Assurance Editor with The Standard Group. He is the Gemnet treasurer.
Zipporah is a Communications Specialist at the UN in New York.
She is the patron of Gemnet.
Michelle Dibo Willis
Michelle is a communications specialist with more than eight experience. Her special focus is on digital communications. She currently works at the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs, where she handles several media platforms associated with the ministry. Michelle is also a writer and contributor for The Star, Daily Nation and MyGov newspapers. She handles social media for Gemnet.
Tina, a passionate creative designer, is charge of the creatives at Gemnet. She is pursuing a leadership programme at International Christian Centre.
She loves teaching children.
